FIRE PUMPS NFPA 20 UL&FM APPROVED

FIRE PUMPS NFPA 20 UL&FM APPROVED

General
The pumping equipment described in this catalogue is designed to provide a pressurized supply of water for Fire Fighting systems. As a fire-extinguishing agent, water acts by cooling the source of combustion, and can be applied by various methods to ob tain the greatest degree of heat removal. Systems such as sprinklers, water curtains, hydration columns, fire hydrants, etc. all require a water supply permanently available from a pressurized network.
In the event of a fire, either the opening of a fire hydrant or the automatic initiation of a fixed sprinklers installation usually initiates the demand for water. The sudden fall in pressure in the fire system rising main causes the main pumps to automatically start and provide the required flow of water to the points of application.
Most systems have a small, electrically driven auxiliary or jockey pump, which automatically maintains the pressurization of the fire fighting system and compensates for small leakages in the system. The auxiliary or jockey pump operates automatically under pressure switch control. The main pumps are designed to provide the supply of pressurized water to the Fire Fighting System; these can be initiated either manually or automatically as required. A sudden drop in pressure causes the automatic starting of the main pumps to supply water to the fire system rising main. The main fire pumps may only be stopped manually. The types of pump used for this application are mainly:
1. Horizontal end suction pump with a radial discharge.
2. Horizontal axially split case pumps.
3. Vertical, wet well pumps-shaft driven with conventional motors.

For example, we would typically recommend horizontally mounted pumps for installations, which have a positive suction head, and when a suction lift is required (i.e. when the source of the water supply is located below pumping equipment), we would suggest vertical wet well pumps.
Optionally, the equipment can be built to comply with other Standards such as NFPA-20, etc.
The equipment is manufactured under a Quality System certified by Bureau Veritas Quality Imitational (BVQI) to meet the requirements of ISO 9001.

Main Pumps

Equipment with horizontal pumps
The pumps are manufactured in accordance  with DIN 24255. The wearing parts in contact with the pumped water are manufactured in corrosion resistant materials the impeller and wear rings are made of bronze and the pump shaft is stainless steel. The semi-elastic spacer coupling is fitted to both electric and diesel driven pumps; this allows the impeller assembly to be removed without the need to move the pump casing or the driver. The design of the pump casing is such that an air release device is unnecessary.

Equipment with Split Case pumps

The pumps can be fitted as the main pump for fire fighting equipment. Their main area of application is for large flows and operating pressures up to 15 bar. These are horizontal centrifugal pumps with axially split cases. The suction and discharge flanges are casted as part of the bottom half of the casing, allowing easy access to the rotating parts and avoiding disconnecting of the suction and discharge pipes during maintenance works. Both pump types can be driven by either electric motor or diesel engine as required. The CEPREVEN and UNE-EN 12845 version is fitted with a semi-elastic spacer coupling to facilitate maintenance of the pump set. These pumps are fitted with an automatic air release valve on top of upper half casing.

Equipment with vertical turbine pumps
Where the water level of the source supply results in a suction lift, preventing the use of horizontal pumps, BOMBAS IDEAL can offer a wide range of vertical turbine shaft driven pumps V type with motors mounted at ground level.

Vertical turbine pumps with maximum flow 4000 m3/hr and maximum head 60 m.
The test bed designed in cooperation with the Hydraulics Department of Valencia Polytechnic University, with stored water capacities of 266,000 litres, a testing availability of 120,000 l/min and 1000 kW power, enables the simultaneous testing of different submerged vertical pumps for waste water, horizontal pumps, etc.. This test bed is an essential tool for the R&D department, which has a very important place in on company strategy, building the future on continuous creation and improvement of the products. The constant care for innovation and quality have enabled us to obtain ISO 9001 and ISO 166002:2006.

Pompa Banjir, Submersible, Axial Pump

Submersible Pump - SVA-SVH

SVA and SVH submersible pumps with propeller and helical impellers were specially designed for pumping large flows of water to low and medium heights. The high performance obtained by these pumps and their great reliability make them highly suitable for pumping rain water, drying out land, rice fields, working in water sewage treatment plants, water parks, sea water, etc..
A very sturdy mechanical construction and a common shaft for the pump and the motor make a compact and very tough group. The sealing of the shaft between the motor and the hydraulic part is guaranteed by two high quality mechanical seals and one intermediate oil chamber. The motor is three- phase, with squirrel cage rotor, IP68 protection and class F insulation, for 155ÂșC.
Assembling them is simple through being fixed by their own weight and installed in a discharge pump or in a concrete masonry chamber.

Submersible Pump with maximum flow 30000 m3/hr and maximum head 16 m.
